Data Science/Big Data Analytics

Data science is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from many structural and unstructured data. It is an extension of Big Data - is a field that treats ways to analyse, systematically obtain information from, or otherwise, deal with data sets that are too large or complex to be dealt with by traditional data-processing application software. The DCS Data Science/Big Data Analytics Research group concerns itself with driving the new age society in a more guided future with insights defined by trained data.
