Data science is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from many structural and unstructured data. Big Data is a field that treats ways to analyse, systematically obtain information from, or otherwise, deal with data sets that are too large or complex to be dealt with by traditional data-processing algorithms or techniques. The DCS Data Science & Big Data Analytics Research group concerns itself with driving the new age society in a more guided future with insights defined by trained and validated data.
